Technical roles
Our technical roles focus on delivering impact through our programmes. Whether we’re delivering an education programme in Pakistan, encouraging small business to prosper in the Democratic Republic of Congo, supporting anti-corruption reforms in Nigeria or developing infrastructure in Vanuatu, we are looking for local and global subject matter experts, technical specialists on cross-cutting themes such as Gender and Inclusion and Monitoring and Evaluation, as well as experienced team leaders. Our technical roles are typically focused on a single project with an associate contract.
In-house technical specialists
Our in-house technical specialists contribute to the design and delivery of our projects to maximise impact. Our in-house technical specialists will typically work across a range of programmes and business development opportunities.
Project managers
Our project managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of our programmes, providing top quality support and guidance to our technical teams, partners and clients so that we deliver on our commitments to our clients and beneficiaries.
Business services specialists
Our business service specialists enable our teams to be effective by providing support and expertise in the areas of Operations and Security, Finance, IT, People, Talent, Legal and Ethics.
Business development roles
Our business development roles work across the business and with partners and clients to design high-impact programmes and build top quality teams to meet all the client’s expectations.
Assistant managers
Assistant managers are high-calibre junior team members who make a meaningful contribution to our work across the company. Many of our assistant managers join through our Professional Development Scheme which is structured to develop a range of skills and provide exposure to various work areas in order to prepare participants for a successful and rewarding career with us.
Leadership roles
Our leadership roles include Project Directors who are accountable for the success of our projects, Country and Regional Directors who oversee a portfolio of projects and operational support in different geographic locations, Heads of Communities of Practice who provide company-wide leadership on particular technical themes, Heads of Business Services teams as well as our Executive Team who provide strategic leadership to the company as a whole.

We are a certified B Corp, meaning that ASI balances profit and purpose through the highest standards of transparency and monitors its social and environmental performance against KPIs set by the board.

Ethics
As a company delivering sustainable development even in fragile states or where there is conflict, we are committed to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. Our Code of Conduct is at the core of this commitment and it sets the standards of ethical behaviour expected of everyone who works with ASI – staff, consultants, partners and suppliers. It is up to everyone who works with ASI to uphold the Code of Conduct at all times and report and breaches of the Code through appropriate management channels or the ASI Speak Up Hotline.
Anti-bribery and Corruption
ASI seeks to proactively protect the company, our clients, partners and beneficiaries from instances of fraud, bribery and corruption.
This means that ASI:
– will always seek to take disciplinary and/or legal action against those found to have perpetrated, been involved in, or assisted with fraudulent or other improper activities in any of its operations;
– is committed to developing an ethical culture and reducing to the absolute minimum the likelihood of fraud, bribery and corruption occurring in any of its operations;
– encourages immediate reporting of any actual or suspected incidents of fraud, bribery and corruption.
Working with third parties
ASI is committed to transparency in its supply chains and to treating its partners and suppliers with honesty and respect. Our business partners and suppliers are essential to our ability to meet our clients’ and beneficiaries’ expectations. We choose them carefully through objective selection processes and conduct thorough background checks and due diligence. We refer to the process of identifying and understanding potential risks that ASI could face in working with a third party as “Third Party Screening”.
All third parties must adhere to the requirements set out in our Partner Code of Conduct in relation to human rights, labour rights, tax compliance, information security, environmental stewardship and anti-bribery and corruption.
