Country

Swaziland / Eswanti

Ruled by the absolute monarch King Msawiti III since 1986, much of the population lives on subsistence agriculture.

It has been plagued by low productivity, drought and prevalence of HIV AIDS. The name of the landlocked country was changed fro Swaziland to Eswanti in 2018.

ASI has advised the government on pension reform and the country has also been part of an ASI-managed programme to promote climate resilience.
