South Africa

In the years since the end of apartheid in 1994, South Africa has grown to become the second largest economy in Africa.

But one-quarter of the population is unemployed and living in poverty and there is still a great deal of inequality.

ASI has had a permanent presence in South Africa until 2018 and has done significant past work on structuring state owned enterprises and the communications sector, with more recent projects on climate resilience, especially in agriculture.
