Malawi

Millions of Malawians live with low income, few job opportunities, ill health and illiteracy.

Malawi is increasingly prone to droughts and floods and faces explosive population growth. Pressure on land and services combines with climate change-related droughts and floods, poor governance, and a lack of economic opportunities to threaten stability.

ASI has worked to address many of these weaknesses with projects from climate-resilience and agriculture market development, through to supporting the police, public financial management and anti-corruption.
