ASI PAKISTAN

Since 2006, ASI has been delivering high-impact development assistance across Pakistan. Today, it stands as one of our largest and most established global operations, underpinned by a team of over 150 staff and consultants working across a diverse portfolio of programmes.

Our Pakistan office functions as a strategic regional hub, leading some of the UK government’s most prominent development interventions. These include flagship technical assistance to the federal government on macroeconomic reform; a major sustainable economic development programme in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; and a politically sensitive initiative strengthening UK-Pakistan collaboration on serious and organised crime. We also managed an Australian-funded feasibility study on flood management options for greater Lahore. In addition, our work supports federal ministries to mobilise tax revenues, unlock investment, facilitate trade, and enhance the quality of macroeconomic policymaking – an area of growing significance as Pakistan moves through a critical phase of IMF programme implementation.

Beyond programme delivery, ASI Pakistan hosts a robust operational platform, including a dedicated Finance and Operations team and a shared services finance function based in Islamabad that supports projects worldwide. These functions are central to ensuring the successful delivery of complex programmes through strong compliance, financial integrity, and operational excellence.

With nearly two decades of experience in Pakistan, ASI has shaped some of the country’s most influential reform programmes - advancing economic resilience, strengthening public institutions, and driving long-term impact for communities across the country.
